Ms. Ingrid Cyuzuzo

Ingrid Cyuzuzo is the Manager in charge of Financial Innovation at the National Bank of Rwanda (NBR). In her role, she drives the sector’s development in the areas of inclusive digital financial services, financial technologies, green finance, capacity building, and more.

Ingrid is responsible to lead implementation of key projects including the operationalization of BNR Regulatory sandbox, conducting a proof of concept for the Rwanda Central Bank Digital Currency, Digital Public Infrastructure for credit markets, as well as the Open Finance Framework.

She also takes keen interest in sustainable finance work for Rwanda notably the sustainable finance roadmap development in Rwanda, is a member of the Sustainable finance group at NBR, AFI’s IGF member and former subgroup lead, and an appointed Member at the NGFS.

Before joining the central bank, Ingrid built a banking career across several functional departments with most of her experience in corporate banking for the public sector and multinational institutions segments. She leverages on her experience to contribute to the National Bank’s objectives for Financial Inclusion and Financial Sector Development.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Rwanda and an MBA in International Finance from Oklahoma Christian University. She also picks strong interest in further learning opportunities and has taken part in different programs from the Havard Kennedy School, Cambridge Judge school and The International Monetary Fund amongst many.
